Governor tags key issues for review

Addressing the Boone County Education Foundation yesterday, Governor Steve Beshear identified areas of Kentucky education that he sees as needing systematic review and improvement, including:
  • graduation rates
  • content standards
  • college and university teacher preparation programs
  • remediation for college students
The Enquirer adds that "Beshear did not advocate changes to the [SEEK] funding formula, though he did pledge to avoid cutting the funding." [Full article here, with hat tip to KSBA]
